About

Corporate real estate experience, on the developer’s side of the table.

Huntleigh Development was founded in 1999 by Michael Adams after years managing real estate for Sherwin-Williams across the Western United States. Our team knows what national tenants need from a site and a building because we have sat in their seat. Today HDI develops and renovates retail, industrial and residential property from its headquarters in the East Bay.

The people behind the projects.

Michael C. Adams

President

Mike founded Huntleigh Development in 1999 after a career that started as an industrial broker with Cushman & Wakefield in Oakland, covering the East Bay and Solano County.

Work for Sherwin-Williams led to a role in their corporate real estate department, first overseeing the Northwestern United States and eventually all of the company’s real estate across the West, including Hawaii and Alaska. That mix of brokerage, corporate real estate, development and ownership is the foundation HDI is built on.

B.S., University of California, Berkeley.

He spent 11 years at Sherwin-Williams as a senior real estate representative in California and Texas, a real estate representative in Ohio, and a construction manager in Texas, learning the process from site selection through delivery.

BBA, Texas A&M University.

Pete Michaelides

Pete joined HDI in 2006 to find and lead new development opportunities in the Western region, managing projects from start to finish.

He brings more than 20 years of account management, contract negotiation and strategic corporate alliance experience.
